Alloy shows:ER5356 is a general purpose aluminum-magnesium filler alloy with magnesium of 5%, typically chosen for its relatively high shear strength and it is a good choice for anodizing application. ER5356 has a high compatibility with various base metals. 

Applications:For welding 5xxx series base alloy and is very versatile for application such as structures, ships, automotive, trailer, tank, and so on. But we don't recommended 5356 for high-temperature applications exceeding 150 degree F
